. The taxonomic list of Niger rodents' fauna has been established using cytogenetic
  data (unambiguous diagnoses).
. Their biogeographic species-specific distributions have been inferred. 
. Implications on public health and crop damages are also discussed.

. The taxonomic list is presented using three formats:

      - The complete original field report established by Gauthier Dobigny during its field
        survey (french national service survey realized with the help of Nomao A. and 
        directed by J.C. Gautun).
      - A synthetic article published in Mammalia (2002) (ref. inside)
      - The associated table with the main external measurements and chromosomal data
        for each taxon.
